Ho to Use and Handle Gas Cylinders Safely
Turn off any connected gas appliance(s) first before connecting a cylinder.
Always replace worn-out or defective hoses and regulators. Most gas related accidents occur due to leakages from bad fittings.
Use only genuine accessories. A bad accessory can damage your cylinder causing leakage.
Disconnect any cylinder fittings such as the regulator or burner, when cylinder is not in use for long periods of time.
Don’t use force to open or close the cylinder valve.
If you identify a leakage from any fitting or accessory, stop use and contact us. Do not attempt to manage or repair it yourself.
Check for gas leaks regularly by applying soapy water solution on suspected leakage area. The appearance of soap bubbles indicates leak points.
Never store or use a cylinder upside down.
Even when empty, your cylinder should always be treated as a full cylinder for safety, this is because there is always remnant gas in the cylinder which remains flammable and hazardous when improperly handled.
Never leave the valve of any unconnected gas cylinder open, even if it is believed to be empty, because of remnant gas.
Do not attempt to modify/tamper with your LPG cylinder or any of its fittings.
